Cala Ratjada

Cala Ratjada, situated in the municipality of Capdepera, is a charming town on the north-east coast of Majorca. It is famous for its beautiful beaches and coves, its nightlife, and its friendly and relaxed atmosphere. It is the closest point to the island of Minorca. When the weather is favourable, you can see the sister island from there. Despite its growth, Cala Ratjada has maintained its authentic spirit of a traditional fishing village. This makes it one of the most outstanding places on the island.

 

Beaches

Cala Ratjada beaches are perfect for enjoying a full day of sun and sea. They have all kinds of services, such as showers, toilets, car parks, lifeguards, and a walkway for people with reduced mobility. There are many beautiful beaches and coves in the area, including Cala Agulla, Son Moll (our hotels are very close to both), Cala Gat, Cala Moltó, Sa Pedruscada, Sa Font de Sa Cala, Cala Mesquida and Na Ferradura. Each one of them is different, offering a unique experience of the Majorcan coast.

Lighthouse of Capdepera

Situated on an impressive cliff, the Capdepera lighthouse offers stunning views of the Mediterranean Sea, making it an ideal place to watch the sunset or simply relax and enjoy the maritime environment.

 

"Península de Llevant" Natural Park

This park, a protected area located a few miles from Cala Ratjada, allows you to go hiking, explore the island's native wildlife and flora and swim in some of Majorca's most beautiful and secluded coves, such as Arenalet d'Aubarca.

Harbour

Despite the tourist development, the colourful fishing port of Cala Ratjada still retains its original charm. It is well worth taking a stroll along the quay at sunset, watching the hustle and bustle of the sailors and going up to the jetty, from where all the senses are flooded with the gentle sea breeze.

 

Castle of Capdepera

Perched atop a hill, Capdepera Castle is an ancient medieval fortress that is a must-see for history and architecture buffs, as well as offering magnificent views.

Sa Torre Cega

This unique building, the former summer residence of the March family, is located on the site of a watchtower known as "Torre Cega". Guided tours of its gardens are now permitted, as well as concerts during the summer months.
